Exercise your self-belief. As dancers we’re excellent at repetition, so this should be a piece of cake!

6. Thoughts from me:
Your thoughts and inner voice have the power to either build you up or bring you down. Choose wisely on how you encourage yourself.
As dancers, we HAVE to be our own hype man.
Whether it’s in the middle of a routine, before a performance, learning a new routine/skill, or just in general.
Here are a few tips MTP recommends in order to successfully be your own hype man:
Speak kindly to yourself. Re-direct your inner voice to do anything but speak highly of who you are.
Build a solid foundation within yourself. Once you know your values, stay true to them in order to nourish and prioritize what’s important to you — #selfawareness.
Be confident in who you are and what you offer… #selfworth.
Don’t rely on others to give you compliments on your performance, empower yourself from within. If that means having a pep talk with yourself, then do it! Understanding the importance of this is key.
Be supportive of others and be their hype man too. You’ll never regret giving words of encouragement to another individual. It will always fill you with good energy and gratitude.
Believe in your power to accomplish your dreams and reach for the stars — being your biggest hype man can get you there! Never let yourself shy away from your potential.
7. Interview:
We have amazing interviews coming up soon!
In the meantime, submit someone you admire in the dance team world to be featured in a future edition of MTP!
Feel free to submit yourself or a friend!
8. Things to keep in mind / Moving forward:
BE YOUR BIGGEST HYPE MAN. THAT’S IT. PERIOD.
MTP News of the Week:
Week 2 of mentioning Pro Action Dance, but sorry not sorry… it was unreal.
Truly an unforgettable experience with amazingly talented people!
Their first ever combine was a success, and might I add incredibly cool?
Current college dance team members and pro-dance hopefuls were able to learn choreography and freestyle in front of pro dance team coaches.
This is the gap we have been wanting to see with a connection. YASSSS.
The dance team path from college to professional is there and always has been, but so many have missed out on that opportunity due to lack of knowledge and exposure.
Shout out to Pro Action Dance for putting on this event and working to bridge the gap for college dance team members and pro dance hopefuls to continue their dance career in the pro dance and cheer world.
Check out their website to attend a future event.
